Title of Project:
The development of novel gene delivery vectors specifically targeting breast cancers by genetically engineering mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) as delivery systems.

Aims of Project:

To investigate the effect of in vitro treatment with tumor-associated molecules on MSC rheology, morphology, and migration in tumor-like environments.
To identify cell surface molecules involved in cell migration to tumors.
To optimize the migratory behaviors of MSCs using chemical and genetic tools.
To genetically engineer MSCs to treat breast cancer in mice.
