Research and development of techniques and information infrastructure that assist biomedical researchers to assemble a coherent biomedical picture by integrating information from multiple data sources and data types. Grid and high performance computing middleware systems to support semantic data integration and large data analyses in translational research. Project involvement:
- The Cancer Biomedical Informatics Grid (caBIG®), an NCI initiative to share relevant data and information, speed translation of new therapies and cancer diagnostics and help fully realize the potential of predictive health
- Image mining for comparative analysis of expression patterns in tissue microarray
- Integrative in silico experiments that leverage complementary molecular, pathology and radiology data
