Molecular Mechanism for the Expression of Tumor Antigens Tn and STn in Human Colon Cancer
Aims of Project:
Explore the correlation between expression of Tn/STn antigens and Cosmc alterations in human primary colon tumors by examining Cosmc in tumor cells that express Tn/STn using PCR, RT-PCR, copy number and single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) analyses.
Provide novel information on the molecular mechanism for expression of Tn/STn antigens on human colorectal carcinomas.
Promote the development of new approaches for diagnosis, prognosis, and targeted therapies for colon cancer.
